Life is a journey that can be filled with joy and sorrow. We experience happiness when we spend time with loved ones, witness something that is breathtaking, or hear a beautiful melody that makes our soul move. These are all great experiences that we can witness in our lifetime. Though, the reality is that life can also be tremendously difficult and overwhelming. Trauma, illness, loss, financial strain, and the like can lead to feelings of worry, fear, hopelessness, and despair. These challenges can make life feel insurmountable. It may feel like the easiest thing to do is to give up and do nothing. At Equanimity Health, our belief is that happiness, although good in of itself, may not always be the end goal. Extrinsic factors may be outside of your control, but there are intrinsic factors that you can change to improve your wellness.
